Skill development is indispensable in our global village and job creation is an important component for economic development. Though many see jobs as an end after graduation, jobs to ILAPI is seen as means to prosperity. Conventionally, there exists a huge bloc of graduates without jobs and majority underemployed. A majority of the youth bloc are equally unemployed and are found in hot jobs with little to no income to survive. In some cases, the jobs are available but the individuals are without the required skills to function. The skills needed to find or hold a job are important assets in this 21st century for any individual yearning to make a living.
Training students and individuals to up skill, reskill and have to develop entrepreneurial behavior is important to drive economic industrialization and prosperity. Digital capitalists are on the rise and with blockchain Web 3.0, there’s the need to promote freedom to develop and use decentralized technology improve governance, business, commerce and trade.
In 2023, we trained over 1,000 students at the university of education on blockchain and virtual assets, Robotics, photography and videography, entrepreneurship, coding and programming, financial literacy, writing and publication, Data science, digital marketing, and software development.
35% of the participants have started developing and deepening their skills in the various models and monetizing the skills for employment opportunities.
